The Greenback Surf Club was formed in 1967 by a group of friends who surfed South Florida and rsurf spots along the Florida coast.
Greenback Surf Club was incorporated with the State of Florida in 1970 as a non- profit organization. The Greenback Surf Club supports surfing in South Florida by sponsoring surf films, surf contests, securing beach access, and civic activities.
Today Greenback Surf Club supports the efforts of the South Florida Longboard Association, Surfrider Foundation, Surfers for Autism, and other like-minded ocean friendly organizations and individuals. We have also supported San Onofre Surf Club in their efforts to keep San Onofre, California as a State Park, as well as relief efforts for Lahaina, Maui fires victims.
Greenback Surf Club has remained active in the community, our members still share the same joys of a day at the beach, as we care for the planet’s oceans and each other.
